Matthew Purves

Matthew’s has a specialism in defending serious, complex and sensitive criminal allegations. With the flexibility of representing clients from a range of backgrounds: - vulnerable individuals, organised crime gangs, professionals and business leaders.

Having qualified as a Higher Court Advocate in 2012, he has significant experience as an advocate in high profile and complex cases before Juries in the Crown Court. He fights every step of the way for his clients and is able to take on the most challenging cases leaving no stone unturned.

Having conducted trials for serious sexual offences in the Youth Court, to appearing before Juries in Murder trials at the Crown Court, and challenging unjust sentences in Court of Appeal Matthew is a well-known and well-respected advocate in the area.

Matthew has a keen interest in more serious crime, and cases with novel and complex points of interest which others may shy away from.
